The Marketing Manager
Marketing is a crucial tool to increase the visibility of the organization and to expand the existing network of Enactus UvA. I am in charge of setting up marketing strategies to maximize brand awareness among students, potential partners, and educational institutions. This will further increase the resources and development of Enactus UvA as a whole. My role is to expand the reach of the Enactus UvA, mainly through online marketing, to distribute content on different media channels, and through offline marketing such as organizing events, sending out flyers and posters. We will focus much on social media such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and our website to increase our online presence to increase following and viewing, and attract more potential members and partners. In order to increase the spread and minimize the workload, the same posts will be used on all our social platforms with little or no adjustments. Furthermore, we will create a friendly and homey environment for all the current members, and post group photos frequently. By promoting such a family-like image of Enactus UvA, we hope to attract more like-minded students to join the organization. As part of the marketing plan, we want to promote the group cohesion of current members of Enactus UvA. In order to achieve this, we intend to regularly post group photos of our projects as well as the board. Together with the professionalism behind the organization, we believe it is important to lift and promote the people behind it. By increasing the feeling of belonging, we wish to establish a desire to approach, stay with, and promote the organization to friends and others. Approximately once every third month, a 1-page newsletter will be composed by our marketing manager for members and other stakeholders in which they are informed on past, continuing, and upcoming activities and developments. Furthermore, we aim to get published in one of the UvA Folia newsletters as well as making use of the OneWorld online magazine.
Lastly, we hope to continue the goal of last year’s board to create a Pop-up store in Amsterdam, a chance to incorporate and unite Enactus members across the Netherlands. By splitting the costs we enable the store to stay open longer, and share the benefits for enterprises to promote their brand and sell their products. In general, is a great promotional opportunity for the Enactus brand as a whole.
