As the HR Manager of Enactus UvA I recruit motivated new members for the organization. The conscious recruitment plan includes targeted recruitment via LinkedIn and approaching students from diverse faculties and backgrounds. Further, it involves flyers, booth stunt marketing, and lecture/seminar speeches. Each project has at least 4 members, therefore, when recruiting people for specific roles, such as the role of Treasurer, Team Leader, Acquisition, Marketing Manager, and Product Development, we ask what role they would prefer to be in and ask role-specific questions to see whether the person is a fit or not. Our conscious recruitment focuses on finding the people with the best interest to the enterprise and to the role. Achieving this can create a more successful enterprise and it can greatly contribute to the personal development of the member.
Besides attracting new members I aim to give our members the opportunity to get the best out of themselves for Enactus UvA and their own personal development. One-on-one conversations with all members of the enterprises regarding self-development, support, assistance, or any individual project, aspirations, or goals they may acquire during the year. Evaluation meetings are scheduled with all members, however, these are not mandatory. The opportunity of an evaluation meeting is given 3 times during the year and can be adjusted depending on the member. Provided with the Sofy tool for personal and professional development we wish to require at least all project leaders to take a zero measurement at the beginning of the year, as well as mid - and end of the year, in order to reflect on their growth and development.
Being the Human Resources Manager, I am serving as a confidential counselor during the year, which is even more crucial taking the current situation of COVID-19 into account. We try to give the opportunity to reach out to the organization completely online to help keep track of our members' development.
