• Approaching new potential partners in order to extend the partner network to be able to provide workshops that are general for all functions within the projects.

• Maintaining relationships with current partners

External Relations

As the External Relations Manager, I am responsible for expanding Enactus UvA's potential partners’ network and brand awareness. I promote and sustain Enactus partners internally as well as externally, to be mentioned on our social media platform, in newsletters, and easily accessible on our website regarding information about current partners and their role and contribution. Along with the Chair, I work to maintain relationships with the current partners and attain new partnerships. I carry out this by keeping constant contact with the partners and evaluating the ongoing progress of the collaboration. Providing our partners with updates on our behalf to maintain contact and strengthen the relationship is part of this process. New partners are approached for financial and training purposes and in order to extend the partner network to be able to provide workshops that are general for all functions within the projects. Innovative and sustainable partners are the first choice when looking for potential collaborations. For example, improving business processes through digital solutions to improve the digital presence of a startup.

An activity that did not go through due to Covid, but will be interesting to implement in the future, is the participation in Intern Days at selected partners for enterprise members to gain insight into function-specific processes in larger corporations. There could be one or two (maximum three) intern days at our golden partners’ offices. For example, we could have a look into MT Sidekicks or KplusV. It could be structured as follows: a brief tour of the offices, a talk with the employees about what motivates them and finally, a networking Borrell at the end of the working day. This can benefit both the members and the partners as one gets practical experience from a fellow company and the partners get promotion and recognition.
